It’s important to be specific when setting your goals and in turn they become easier to achieve. So here at Fitnesshacks we have 5 easy steps to help you get fitter and reach your targets sooner.

Grab a blank piece of paper and scribble down everything you want to achieve in 2017. Don’t let your mind tell you that anything is too big to achieve. Just write it all down. This list can be as long as you like. These goals can be fitness focused, but also related to your personal life, health and career. Remember a healthy you is a happy you both mentally and physically.
STEP TWO: GET EMOTIONAL
It’s important to have an emotional connection to your goals, as this will help you to stay motivated as you progress towards them. Then beneath each goal write down why you want to achieve it.
STEP THREE: PICK YOUR TOP 3
Look over your list and pick out three goals that excite you the most. The ones that make you inspired, the ones that you can’t help but smile about just thinking of how incredible it will be when you achieve it!
STEP FOUR: SET A DATE
You need to set yourself a realistic time-frame in which you’re going to achieve your goal. Be realistic, if it’s a long term goal, then set mini-milestones to hit along the way, this will help you stay on track and ensure you stay motivated.
STEP FIVE: TAKE ACTION
Whatever your goal, you need to have a plan. What are you going to need in order to achieve your goal? For each of your goals, write down the actions you will need to take. These could be daily actions that you can complete. Mini changes will all add up. Ask yourself, can I achieve this goal alone? Or would I benefit from some guidance.
A goal without a plan, is just a dream!
